  • From New Rome to Ancient Rome – St. Helen’s Pilgrimage 2024

    On July 15, 2021, His Grace Bishop Joachim (Cotsonis) of Amissos, PhD, presented a lecture, virtually, on the iconography of Byzantine lead seals for the group of international graduate students enrolled in the 2021 Byzantine Coins and Seals Summer Program at Harvard University’s Dumbarton Oaks Research Library and Collection in Washington, DC.     On Saturday, May 15, Hellenic College Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology held its first Commencement since 2019. The ceremony was unique in the institution's long history for two reasons: it honored the classes of both 2020 and 2021 and combined prerecorded segments with a live, interactive 'virtual kafeneion'  following the ceremony itself.
